Our car, 4x4 pickup truck for sale in Chile, June 2012!
We will be selling our great car, after our 6 month south american trip, around the end of June 2012, in Chile.
The car is a Nissan D21 (double cabin), 2001. It is a 4x4 - so you'll be able to get anywhere with it. We have tried the 4x4 in several occasions and it proved itself.
We have done regular maintenace and oil chages, filter changes etc. every 6000 km. We also done a big maintenance just after we bought the car.
Manual transmission, Air conditioner, new off road tires (Goodyear - bought them in March),CD player, fire extinguisher, jack, tool kit, spare parts, two fuel canisters and lots more.
We bought a metal top for the pick up part so that you can store and lock away all your luggage.
All the paperwork in order and the transfer takes about 3 days. The transfer costs around 100$ (Notary, tax, etc.) The "revisión técnica" is valid until May 2013. The other two things that need to be renewed every March, are walid untill March 2013. Those can be easily renewed online.
We've travelled through Chile and Argentina, and heading to Bolivia and Peru .
We will also include some camping gear: sleeping mattress, chairs, cooking stuff, large plastic storage boxes, cooler box, guidebooks, maps...
The price of the car is around 4,000,000 CLP which is around 8000 USD (negotiable).
It took us almost three weeks to find the right car to buy - and only after two mechanics checked this one and declared its good condition we decided to buy it.

Darn you sold the pickup
Darn you sold the pickup truck already? I was hoping I could have a word with you so we can discuss a "fair" pricing between the two of us. I would've used it as a primary source of universal parts for pickups that I've been repairing. Oh well, sorry to bother you. I guess I'll go look somewhere else.
