Shona once travelled to Ushuaia for ski training and got the idea to drive the entire north and south america. Andrew loves just about any adventure thrown at him..
Why did you decide to drive?
I couldn't imagine riding a bike on those roads. Its scary enough driving!

Nope.

84 VW Westy
Did you make any modifications to your car for this trip?
Just fixed it up. We added slightly larger tires and body work so it didn't fall apart.
How did you save up or finance your trip?
Andrew sold everything he owed and Shona is living off her savings in early retirement.
How long do you plan on traveling?
A year-ish
Where do you plan on driving?
Started in Canmore, north to Inuvik NT Canada, south on the coast to get in as much surfing as possible.
What were your family's and friends' reactions when you told them about your trip before you left?
But your gonna be home for Christmas right????

Are you taking more Spanish lessons as you travel?
If so, where and for how long? listened to a learn spanish disc for 2 hours before mexico....
Do you have a favorite place or country that you have visited during your trip?
California natural hotsprings, or Redwood forest.

Fishing with Grizzlies in Haines AK
