Looking for other 'The Americas' Drivers along our route

Hey there,

Here is our route for the next couple of weeks. We're currently at number 10 which is Arches National Park.

We'd love to meet other people who are on the way to drive the Americas. No matter if you're going North to South or the other way around.

We're traveling with truck and tiny trailer and two young kids and want to be in Baja by Mid / End October.

Cheers,

Inge

FOR SALE: 4WD Mitsubishi Truck-Camper in North America

The time has come for us, too, to sell our beloved rolling house.
The truck-camper is a very good option to travel, as you can stand inside, cook inside, and the bed doesn’t take so much place, and you have toilets and a shower! There’s a loooot of storage room, so you can take everything you want on your trip. So it’s very comfortable, but much more convenient than a big rig, being 4x4, small enough, and goddamn powerful!

Changing Chilean plates so we can drive to USA?

Hello fellow wanderers.

We have a beautiful 91' Kombi from Chile. We are currently cruising Argentina.

When we return to chile in 6 months time we want to drive to USA.

Here's the problem. With Chilean plates you can only be out of the country(chile) 6 months before you have to return. This makes our dream impossible, so my question is.

Can we change plates in chile to American as foreigners to do this beautiful trip? Or are there any other solutions?

Hope to hear from you,

Amalie, Jonatan and the Kombi Appa ;)

Buying a car in USA

Hi friends, so now our plan its start looking for vans to buy in California to start the trip from there heading south. Witch is the good sites or forums to look for vans there?

Thanks a lot

Truck Camper 4 sale -- Sept 2015 in Minnesota/USA

We're selling our truck camper since our journey ends soon and we'll have to get back home. It's a 1999 Ford F150 XLT 4WD with a Super Cab and stepside bed. The camper is a 1992 Jayco Pop Up Camper and it's got a big 20 gallon water tank and a solar panel. We're aiming to sell the truck and camper as a combination and we're asking 10.000 $. If that shouldn't work out, we'd be willing to sell the truck for 6.000 $ and the camper for 4.000 $.

USA - Mexico - USA etc...

Brief question here. I have a business in the USA but sadly, I am not allowed to live there. I would however like to be there for a few months a year but I have my 3 year old French Bulldog & I am currently living in Australia... So this does not work :)

I thought a good backup plan would be to live south of the border in Mexico down the coast on la playa! Easy. I can come up to California as an Aussie 2-3 times a year for a month or two & then return back to Mexico.
