FOR SALE: 4x4 Toyota Sequoia SUV and Rooftop Tent – Lima, Peru end of July or later

We are selling our vehicle and rooftop tent either together or separately, as we’ll be heading back home by the end of July :(. The truck is Ontario plated and we shipped it down from Baltimore to Santiago to start off our trip. Since then, we’ve driven down to Patagonia, across into Argentina, up through Uruguay and Brazil, and we just crossed the continent through Bolivia and are now in Peru! The cheapest flights to Toronto seem to be from Lima, so we’ll head back there to finish off our trip. Here are the details:

More photos:

$2,900 USD
2017 iKamper Skycamp hardshell rooftop tent
Outer storage shelf

This is a top-of-the line rooftop tent in perfect condition. Check out the links above for lots of info on the tent. With the tent, we’ll include our bedding and pillows (if you want them).

$4,800 USD
2001 Toyota Sequoia Limited 4WD “Suzy”
Check out the link below for all the specs:
Mileage: 345,000 km (estimated by the end of the trip)
12V 33AH backup battery (runs the cooler for about 8hrs)

The rear bench seats of the truck have been removed and are covered up by the camping platform, which you could use to sleep on (folds into a bed, table or storage platform). We use it for storing our surfboards. The vehicle will now very comfortably seat four. For us, we had seven surfboards and ski gear inside, and were still able to seat three comfortably for the leg of our trip from Rio de Janeiro, through Bolivia to Lima.

The gear we’ll include with the truck:
12VDC/220VAC MOBICOOL electric cooler 48L 47W (adjustable power)
Jumper cables
Tow strap
Wire and rope
12V tire pump
12VDC/110-220VAC LED light
Required safety equipment
Pot, pan, cups, cutlery and dishes
2 burner Coleman propane camp stove
Two folding chairs and folding table
Wheel lock
Spare tire
Tire patch kit

Recent work:
330,000km – new aftermarket steering rack
328,000km – new left upper ball joint
Safety inspection and certification work in Canada at 320,000km
Left lower ball joint
Swaybar links
Left exhaust manifold gasket
Scheduled timing belt and water pump replacement (every 150,000km)
Rear shocks

Some issues:
14” crack in the windshield
Rear left window can not be lowered. A repair would involve crimping the window back on to the sliding tray. At the moment it is taped in place inside the door and is no problem as long as the window stays shut.
The rear hatch handle broke off, so at the moment, it is opened with a pull rope in the same spot as the handle. This could be repaired by sourcing a replacement part (will update if we fix this before the car is sold)
Front A/C compressor fan is not working. The rear A/C is fully functional, and the front still provides some cooling.
