You will need to have a valid RUT number BEFORE the sale transfer.
We bought the car from the previous owner (also Australian) in Colombia and they are still the officially registered owner, we have been using notarised 'poder' documents to drive and to sell. However our sale needs to be an official ownership transfer in Chile.
We will provide detailed info on using poders, border crossings, maintenance, country costs etc.
