Help needed in Santiago for our RUT application

Dear fellow travelers,

We are hoping someone (a Chilean resident) is able to help us with our RUT application.

We are a Dutch couple and arrived yesterday (sunday) in Santiago and got the paperwork at the SII office this morning. Unfortunately our co residents and the staff at our hostel will not help us.

If someone would be so kind to get our "show on the road" we will be very gratefull! And we will of course compensate you for the trouble.

Many thanks in advance!

I don't want to promote, but I would wholeheartedly recommend Alfonso - he not only helped us with the RUT, but essentially was helping us for several days. We did pay him, but nothing compared to the law firms, and he helped us a lot more than just signing a piece of paper.

Write me at [email protected] if you want his contact, or check our blog for more info how he helped us :)

SII in Copiapo

When I was in Copiapo I needed to extend my SII RUT number which I originally got in Los Condes. I have been traveling all over Chile in my van and therefore have no address. Most people say you need an address, however, the official in Copiapo, who spoke good English, took care of it without my having an address. He simply made arrangements for my ID card to be sent to the SII office where I expected to be in 2 months; I choose Iquique. Since he gave me the official SII document with my RUT number I do not need to get the ID card; my passport is my ID. I think you may be able to do something similar. The trick is to find an official who is smart enough to help you.  Please do not share .this information with any of those criminals who make a living ripping off people like you and I. Let me know if this works for you. Contact: [email protected]
