Hi all

We are a couple from Australia currently travelling around Chile with our awesome Mitsubishi Montero Sport  camper 4x4 vehicle. This car is perfect for a couple to travel independently around South America. We spent a few weeks finding a great car and then creating a custom, convertible camper conversion inside the car because we couldn't find anything ready for us when we arrived.

The car has been absolutely fantastic. The camper conversion in a common looking 4x4 SUV vehicle means we have freedom to travel around, explore, find new places, and also save a lot of money by having our own accomodation, transport and kitchen wherever we travelled.

We found so many amazing little places that were not accessible by public bus or 2WD vehicles. Many country roads around Chile are unpaved, so we found on many days we would need to drive in 4H mode for many hours at low speed as the 'highways' were muddy and slippery after some rain. 4x4 is definitely a good thing to have in any country, especially South America, if you want to get off the highway and see some amazing, quiet, secluded places!

The Montero Sport is a very common car in Chile and other South American countries, this means that it does not look like a gringo's tourist car when travellling (so it is safer to park and not have theft issues). Plus, getting it serviced or repaired is no problem and inexpensive anywhere. We found it increadibly easy to freecamp almost anywhere we wanted with this vehicle as there are generally no restrictions or they aren't enforced. No one will bother you.

As posted below, the car has everything you need to travel independently anywhere in South America. No more to spend or work to do. After spending two weeks and many inspections, we found many cars in Chile are in poor condition or poorly maintained. Honestly, we wish someone else had done all this work and spent all the money setting it up and getting it prepared (also remember the $50 a night rent we spent while here finding a car and doing the conversion).

We are the second foreign owners of the vehicle. The previous owners drove 45,000KM in the vehicle around South America over half a year, mainly doing highway driving. So even though the KM are not high for a vehicle like this, it's even better as country driving is much better for a car than stop-start city driving. We are friends with the previous Chilean owners too, and know that they love their cars and take good care of them (a rarity in Chile).

So, lucky for you, the next owner will get a vehicle that is ready to go. No hassles, no shopping around for gear... just arrive,  pay and transfer and then begin your adventure! Simple. We've been through all the process of obtaining a RUT (tax) number and the transfer of vehicle, and so we'll be able to ensure you have a smooth and easy process.

EXTRA STUFF INCLUDED WITH THE CAR

12v air compressor (useful when driving offroad), tyre pressure tool, flat tyre fix spray, fire extinguisher and safety triangle (mandatory in many countries)
Roof rack with roof bars, perfect for attaching surfboards or other large, bulky items to the roof if required
Tools including socket wrench and X spanner for tyre change, jack, screwdriver, plier, hatchet, tow cable, jump start leads, etc

As you can see, we've done all the work for you. No more money to be spent or time wasted running around looking for things.

We fly out from Santiago back to Sydney on August 22, so we want to have the car sold and transferred before we leave. We will be in Santiago region from the start of August onwards, so if you are seriously interested in the car please send me an email or message and we'll talk more and arrange an inspection.
