FOR SALE: PRICE DROP: €5500 Nissan X-Trail 2011 in perfect condition! Selling RIGHT NOW in Santiago

We are a Dutch couple and around 3 months ago we bought our beloved Nissan X-Trail from fellow travellers in Santiago. As our journey eventually will come to an end too, we will be selling the car again coming July 2019.
The car in question is a 2011 Nissan X-Trail 2.5

- Around 195.000 km by the time we’ll be selling it
- 4 Cylinder (V4) 2.5L Engine
- Chilean plates
- Takes 95 Gasoline
- 5-Gear manual transmission
- 4x4 and 2x4 Drive
- Airconditioning (very well working and definitely usefull!)
- 5 Doors, 5 Seats
- Three 12V DC power outlets including the right adapters for charging phones and whatnot
- 4 Wheel Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS)
- Driver and passenger airbags
- Alarm-System + panic button on the key + second spare key
- New strong battery
- Central locking (and rear child safety door locks)
- Electronic windows

- Change of oil, oilfilter and airfilter every 10.000 km
- Replaced clutch at around 172.000 km
- Replaced battery at around 160.000 km
- New 4x4 tires at around 160.000 km

Additional gear:
- Two basic camping chairs
- One back-up sleeping bag
- Steering wheel lock
- Gas stove, plates, cups and cutlery (for 4 persons), set of cooking pans, teakettle and some tupperware
- Small cool box and plastic storage box
- Flashlight
- Electronic converter which changes from 12 V to 220 V, with multi plug in adaptor and USB slot, so you can charge pretty much everything from phones to laptops and camera batteries. We found it very useful
- Jerrycan with 20 liters for spare patrol to have a reach of around 750 km, so far we never needed it but better safe than sorry
- Radio incl. CD-player and aux-cable to plug in smartphones & laptops

Car was bought from the 1st owner in December 2018. She used it for travelling to her office in Santiago and always maintained it at an official Nissan dealer. It was then used for two months by our predecessors in order to travel more efficiently through South America. We then bought the car in February 2019 for a journey of our own. Over the last four months the car was fitted with a new battery, a new clutch (by an official Nissan dealer) and new 4x4 tires. In short; the car runs very smooth and is in our experience very reliable

Some general facts about the car:
- The car is from 2011 which makes it relatively young.
- The fuel consumption is decent, we often managed more than 100 km/10L.
- The car is big enough for two people to sleep in but at the same time small enough to get through narrow roads and comfortably navigate and park in cities.
- We found Nissan to be a very common car in South America which makes it easy to find spare parts and dealerships.
- The car has 4-wheel drive, which we rarely needed but were very happy about when we did. We also found the car to be rather comfortable on the many, terrible dirt roads we had to take.
- Rails on the roof make it possible to mount a roof rack or rooftop tent.

- Permiso de Circulacion (valid until March 2020) - This document shows that the Chilean street taxes for the vehicles have been paid.
- Revision Technica (valid until June/July 2020) - We will renew the Revision Technica when we get back to Chile in June or July.
- Autorization, Declaracion Jurada and a copy of the applicable legislation - You’ll need these documents in order to cross into other countries. It really helps, we have never had problems with border crossings.
- Seguro Obligatorio (valid until March 2020) - This is compulsory insurance that has to be payed once a year in March.

Our asking price was €8.000, but is now €5.500. We would prefer to sell the car in Santiago in mid-July. However, our asking price as well as the time and place are very flexible. First and foremost, we would like to find trustworthy and kind-hearted buyers. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are interested!
