travelling with truckcamper

Did you travelled in the Americas with a truckcamper ?

We want to do the same, travelling from Canada to Argentina, but have still some questions.
How about the safety while driving on the roads in latin America with the large car ?
Travelling with a truckcamper in those countries, is it safe ?
What about fuel comsuption ?
Can you find everywhere propane gas to fill up your cilinders ?
If you should do your trip again, would you still opt for the same camper ?

Kind regards,

Yes, propane can be a big problem in some countries. Use is high because everything including the generator is propane powered. I've resorted to buying local swapnGo bottles and gravity filling the two US bottles from the local bottles. Brazil is particularly difficult because their bottles are unique.

Vehicle IS big and getting into and then out of any city centre can be a real challenge.

Fuel quality can be poor and may not suit very recent model vehicles. Some roads go up to 5000 metres and that may be too high for some engines.

Previous owners drove it down from San Fransico to Ushuia and up the Buenos Aries and we bought it there.

Truck camper is really too high, too wide, too long and too heavy, but if you are happy with the compromise, it makes for comfortable living. Compared with the big MAN and Unimog truck expedition vehicles, the F350 is positively nimble.

fuel consumption of the truckcamper

Thank you Andre and Tony to reply on our questions.

One more question: how much fuel needs your truckcamper ?
