Update: SOLD - MITSUBISHI MONTERO SPORT 2002 - anywhere between Atacama and Santiago

We are a Dutch couple, offering our fantastic, fully equiped, camper converted Mitsubishi Montero Sport in early April 2017 anywhere between Iquique/San Pedro de Atacama and Santiago for 6,800 EURO in the North, or 7,200 EURO in Santiago. We have had an awesome time with this car travelling Chile, Argentina and Bolivia during the last months, and are now coming to the end of our trip.

The car is very reliable and powerful (175 hp). It never let us down and allowed us to make a lot of detours, travel to remote places, and cross extremely beautiful roads and high mountain passes. The Montero Sport is a very common car in Chile and other South American countries. This means that it does not look like a gringo's tourist car when travelling (so it is safer to park and not have theft issues). Plus, getting it serviced is no problem and inexpensive in any of the countries we travelled. We found it incredibly easy to free-camp almost anywhere we wanted with this vehicle. The skybox and large luggage space mean that you can pack everything for multi-day wild camping trips. We can assist in obtaining the latest required documents to easily cross the border into Bolivia or Argentina (since this is what we have been doing regularly the last months).

We have been through the process of obtaining a RUT (tax) number, the transfer of vehicle, and crossing of borders. We are more than willing to help you with advice about these topics or other questions you might have on driving in Chile or Argentina!

Please see below for a detailed overview of facts of the car, and some great pictures.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
