USA - Mexico - USA etc...

Brief question here. I have a business in the USA but sadly, I am not allowed to live there. I would however like to be there for a few months a year but I have my 3 year old French Bulldog & I am currently living in Australia... So this does not work :)

I thought a good backup plan would be to live south of the border in Mexico down the coast on la playa! Easy. I can come up to California as an Aussie 2-3 times a year for a month or two & then return back to Mexico.

We can drive etc... Based on my research, it looks pretty straight forward. She needs her rabbies vaccination & thats it. In which case we can drive over the border & back again as much as we like.

Being loads of people have done the trip south on this forum, I am now seeking advice from people who have done it a few times e.g. driven Cali to Baja & back again numerous times with thier pooch?

Experiences highly regarded. And then when we are sorted business wise, we'll be headed south to Panama: For now though I want to be able to easily come back & forth. I do not need to work or have a work permit as I can use the B1 visa which is for visiting partners, conferences etc... which is essentially the key requirement for me to do.

Look forward to hearing other experiences

Thanks

I would suggest http://forums

I would suggest http://forums.woodalls.com/Index.cfm/fuseaction/listings/forum/66 as being a good place to get info. Mostly US and Canadian people who cross every year, plus a few who have made the shift more or less permanently. Every second member has dogs.

I guess you know you can only get 180 days at a time in Mexico.
