Fiat Doblo Maxi 2006
Summarize your trip in a couple of sentences: 

After shipping my self-converted van from Europe to Argentina I drove from Buenos Aires all the way down RN3 to Ushuaia. From there you can go only up so I switched to RN40 and through El Chalten, el Calafate, Bariloche, Neuquen, Mendoza and Potrerillos I got to Nono in Cordoba province when the pandemic hit and I was stopped in my tracks.
I've spent 9 months in that beautiful spot next to a river without a soul nearby. It was challenging and rewarding at the same time.
I adopted a puppy to have a companion and now she is traveling with me :)

Do you have any advice for others who may be considering driving the Americas?: 
Learn Spanish as not a lot of people will speak English if you will want to divert from the most touristic locations. Feel free to ask me a question if you have one.
What type of car are you driving?: 
Dodge Promaster 3500 RV by Winnebago - Travato
Summarize your trip in a couple of sentences: 

We spent 65 days driving from Seattle, WA to Zihuantanejo, MX.  Most of the trip down was along the west coast staying at local RV camps and boondocking on the beach.  On our way back we passed through Morella to see the butterfly migration.

Do you have any advice for others who may be considering driving the Americas?: 
Read, read and read to learn from others experiences. Be aware that sensational new is 'fake news' until there is people available to speak of what has happens to them. No just hear say.

Summarize your trip in a couple of sentences: 

My girlfriend and I arrived in Mexico City the 30th of October and went all the way down to San Jose. We adopted on the road our dog, Guaca, in Guatemala . From San Jose to Bogota in airplane, we began our van adventure 2 months later. Now we have one month left and are heading to Montevideo.

Learn spanish

After driving to alaska and the arctic ocean we plan to drive to the southern tip of south america thus completing the Pan American highway.

Do you have any advice for others who may be considering driving the Americas?: 
Save up take some time off work and go.

2002 GMC Savana conversion van

Two retired Canucks travelling from Brandon Manitoba to Ushuaia Argentina in a 2002 GMC Savana conversion van. No dog.

Do you have any advice for others who may be considering driving the Americas?: 
Start reading and planning. It took us at least 2 years to find a vehicle that we could camp in and would be happy driving.

Chevy Silverado with Adventurer Camper

We are a Californian couple who’s drove all the way to Chile. Now we are selling our comfy home on wheels!
